We Support
Families in our local community
The Renee Parker Monihan Memorial Fund at
Shore Medical Center
Supporting the new Pediatric Emergency Specialty Care Room at Shore Medical Center in Somers Point, NJ. This specialty care room will promote family presence and participation in patient care in a private setting, thereby alleviating some of the fear and anxiety children incur while at the hospital. This room allows for immediate evaluation and care for patients. Having all necessary equipment in one location enables multiple team members to care for a patient when seconds count.
Community Outreach to Recently Bereaved Parents
Our family was immensely grateful to have our local community show up and support us in the days, weeks, and months following the tragic death of our daughter Renee.
We recognize that not everyone has a large community in the Ocean City, NJ area. It is often said that it takes a village to raise a child, in our experience it also takes a village to mourn a child.
RPMF will provide support to recently bereaved parents by organizing our established network of local professionals in our community to support them, whether through meal trains, housecleaning, laundry, babysitting or other services during their time of need.
